At about 11:40 PM March 22, 2026, Air Canada flight 8646 collided with a fire truck on runway 4. How this occurred? Well, in an interview the rumor that there was only one operator in the air traffic control tower (ATC). This rumor was debunked by Sean Duffy, during a interview in the la guardian airport as he quoted "While like I said I cant give you full details, but I will say that question is incorrect." So, how did this collision happen? Well, a air traffic controller issued the Air Canada flight to land on runway four, and a few minutes later, the same operator issued a firetruck to respond to a united airlines flight because of a "unusual odor". Moments later, the Canada flight landed, and during its taxi it struck the firetruck at about 24 MPH. The air traffic controller was heard saying "I messed up" over and over. So what happened to the air traffic controller? Well, he has most likely been removed from duties, as he must undergo testing to make sure there was nothing wrong with him, then, if the court considers this a "honest mistake" he will undergo training and have a new job at the airport, because there is a bug psychological impact on the operators mind after the incident. He did shout "Stop! Stop, stop stop! Truck 1 stop!".

The FAA is currently interviewing other controllers, and during the Sean Duffy interview, he stated there is a need of a bigger grant from Congress to get better technology, signaling that some of the equipment may have been outdated. The Pilot and first officer of the flight were killed on impact, and due to this Air Canada has set up a hotline for dedicated family and friends of the pilot and first officer - 1-800-961-7099.
